Since 1975, the Duke Family's love and care for their coffee plantation, "San Isidro," have allowed them to cultivate eco-friendly, specialty coffee that reflects their deep-rooted values and dedication to sustainability. Nestled in the breathtaking region of Copán Ruinas, Honduras, the farm is not only a haven for exquisite coffee but also a sanctuary for over 180 species of orchids, birds (including hummingbirds), and butterflies.
For the past 5 years, the Duke Family, in partnership with La Terza Coffee, has embarked on a transformative journey, transitioning from the production of conventional coffee to focusing on specialty coffee. This bold move led them to become a part of the esteemed "Cup of Excellence" competition by the Alliance For Coffee Excellence, a testament to their unwavering commitment to producing high-quality coffees.
Central to this incredible transformation is the empowerment of women in Farm San Isidro. These remarkable women, with their dedication and expertise, have become an integral part of the coffee production process.
